I designed and built a custom multi-axis 3D scanning system to explore automated object digitization from the ground up. The system combines an Arduino Uno R4 WiFi, VL53L1X sensors, stepper motor rotation, and a servo-driven linear actuator, with custom mechanical components designed and 3D printed by myself. I also developed the embedded C/C++ firmware and a Python-based processing pipeline for point cloud visualization and STL mesh generation. This project allowed me to combine mechanical design, electronics, embedded systems, and software into one integrated system.
